How sad is it when headlines about your awards show are excited there was no violence this year? People are so used to violence now they’re reaction is “phew” not “what the hell is wrong with us that we attack each other at awards shows?”

It’s all an act. Most rap stars consider themselves gangstas. Their lyrics are all about how much bigger and tougher they are than anyone else. They frequently call out eachother’s names in their lyrics, but rarely in a friendly or complimentary way. They make money off of teen angst and the frustration of the downtrodden. If they don’t take a bullet (50 cent) or go to jail (snoop,etc) once in a while, they lose credibility with fans. Now put these people together in front of a camera, and a fight is almost mandatory. There are worse things to be famous for… just ask R. Kelly.
